Story Alchemist and Grief Coach

Shirley Jones

I learned to navigate an ocean of grief and mastered the skills required. It`s taken me a long time to finally get my story straight and to understand and know myself. The saying `Know thyself and thou will know God.`

I was so traumatized by the events that happened in my life that I couldn`t function properly, I was in fragments, numb. One thing that has helped me tremendously throughout my adult life is to write. I kept a journal all that time and now have written my story. I discovered in the book the Four Valleys, a spiritual text, that the story of your life is the most important one to focus on. The reason is because we have to reconcile with ourselves and own every part of our life, especially the most difficult. It makes it so that no accusation against us can harm us in any way. No secrets. Although at first it is the realm of conflict, as we work through it, becomes the throne of splendor.

The throne of splendor is when we come into full acceptance of ourselves exactly the way we are. The portals of love come pouring in with waves of gratitude and detachment. Life becomes so much more beautiful.

I decided to focus my attention on helping people identify the stepping stones of their story. By doing this I help them to extract the lessons they learned.

I believe that this process causes a profound shift in the individual and strengthens them. Knowing your story means knowing yourself at a deeper level. It will serve as a springboard for the rest of your life.

My story is one of overcoming a tremendous amount of adversity caused by loss of identity and sexual trauma. I was a victim of Stockholm Syndrome which caused me to take on the identity of the man and marry him two weeks after I turned 18 in 1976.

I had three sons and two daughters with him. As of December of 2023 none of them talk to me. The pain and suffering caused me to go into a state of muteness for five years. Then, I made a decision to rise above this tragic story and to help others affected by the epidemic of estrangement.

Estrangement, in fact, is a reality faced by far too many parents. They find themselves suddenly cut off from the children they spent years raising at great cost to themselves. All of the traditional expectations that go with the parent-child relationship have flown out the window these days. What is a parent to do?
The epidemic of estrangement is at odds with the principle of the unity of the human family as one human race. We will have to do a lot of work in order to knit together the bonds we must have between us so that we can have a peaceful world.

I created the Black Stallions Group Coaching Program as a solution to the problem of estrangement from self and others.
